PhysChem ForumThere is a recognised need within the physical chemistry (phys chem) and ADMET (Absorption Distribution Metabolism Excretion Toxicity) industry for a forum for discussion between those scientists carrying out practical research and analytical work. There have been a number of extremely high quality international meetings covering all aspects of this field and while the papers presented have been cutting edge there has been limited scope for bench scientists to meet in a more informal setting with a view to presenting current work and a discussion of challenges that were overcome and those yet to be faced. Furthermore these meetings have generally been expensive precluding multiple attendees from smaller departments. Our goal is to generate an environment for informed debate and discussion in a non-commercial setting with excellent networking opportunities. SymposiumOur next symposium will be held in November 2008. Registration is now open. Discussion GroupAn important part of the PhysChem Forum's existence is to further discussion between scientists. We have, therefore, set up a mailing group (hosted by Yahoo!). You can send an email to the group as a new discussion point and it will be forwarded to all members of the group. If you reply to these emails, the replies are also forwarded to the group. We hope that the points raised here will foster lively and useful debate. You can join the group in two ways: online or by email. If you join online you will have full member access to the group facilities, such as opinion polls and useful links in addition to the email list. If you join by email, you will still receive all the email traffic but will not be able to participate in the online activities. Joining onlineThe easiest way to join online is to click the button below and follow the instructions. This will require you to set up a free Yahoo! account. Joining by emailTo join by email, send an email to: physchem-subscribe@yahoogroups.co.uk To then leave the group and no longer receive any group emails, send an email to: physchem-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.co.uk Posting a messageOnce you have joined the group, you can send messages to the group by addressing them to: Messages will not be forwarded to the group if you are not a member.
